Here & Now

I’m a B2B content marketer that lives and works in cities by the Bay. I get a thrill when a sentence sings and I madly refresh the analytics page when something new goes live.

Some highlights:

  • My specialty is storytelling with data. I love the challenge of starting with an idea, then digging into the research to shape the specifics of a narrative.

  • I excel at speaking to client & prospect needs. From strategy to execution, I work to ensure that the pieces I create address what the audience wants to know in an accessible and interesting way.

  • I have a breadth of experience. Long-form content is my jam, but I’m also adept at web copy, email sequences, and CTA testing and optimization. I’ve done a lot thanks to working at scrappy startups for years, and what I don’t know, I can learn.


A long time ago

I hung out in ivory towers, asking rhetorical questions and teaching courses like writing, public speaking, and media studies. I also researched and wrote, making for a surprisingly broad editorial background.

I have a fair few letters after my name, but that’s beside the point. Here are some of the things I took away from my time in academia:

  • A teaching mindset. I want to help my audience, which means speaking to them where they are, not where I wish they were. Good content marketing is about helping readers and that’s instinctive for me.

  • Critical thinking. I’m told I ask good questions…and that I ask them a lot. Regardless of the subject matter, I’m obsessed with learning.

  • Multitasking & deep focus. I love flow states (who doesn’t?), but a decade in front of the classroom means I can think about what I’m saying next, keep an eye on the clock, and register who’s tuned in all while scribbling on a whiteboard.
